Samsung Galaxy S5 mini (G800F)

Spec:

Das Samsung Galaxy S5 mini ist die technisch abgespeckte und kleinere Variante des Samsung Galaxy S5, erkennbar an den gleichen verwendeten Materialien wie dem Polycarbonat und der ähnlich geriffelten Rückseite.

Das leistungsschwächere Galaxy S5 mini beherbergt unter anderem einen mit 1,4 GHz getakteten Quad-Core-Prozessor Samsung Exynos 3470, 1,536 GB Arbeitsspeicher und 16 GB internen Speicher, der sich mit einer microSD-Karte erweitern lässt (bis zu 64/128 GB[1]). Das 4,5 Zoll große Super-AMOLED-Display löst mit einer HD-Auflösung von 1280 × 720 Pixeln auf. Auf der Rückseite des Galaxy S5 mini ist eine 8-Megapixel-Kamera verbaut (Brennweite 31 mm bzgl. KB), die Frontkamera weist 2,1 Megapixel auf.

Im Unterschied zum Vorgänger, dem Samsung Galaxy S4 mini, ist das S5 Mini wasser- und staubresistent entspr. Schutzart IP67, hat eine Benachrichtigungs-LED, anstelle der Menü-Taste eine Task-Taste, und kein FM-Radio.

Die Modellnummer des Galaxy S5 mini lautet SM-G800F.

TWRP

Zuerst braucht es Heimdall - das ist der 'Odin' für LINUX (braucht es, da die Samsung-Geräte ein schwurbliges USB-Seriell sprechen). Einfach das Binary aus dem RPM extrahieren reicht. Gerät mit POWER+VOL-DOWN+HOME in den Bootoader bringen und mit VOL-UP bestätigen. Mit 'detect' schauen ob verfügbar und dann das TWRP drauf flashen.

  • heimdall detect ⇒ Device detected
  • heimdall flash –RECOVERY recovery.img –no-reboot

LINEAGEOS

Anschliessend (nach ausschalten) ins Recovery starten: POWER+HOME+VOL-UP.

Now tap Wipe.

Now tap Format Data and continue with the formatting process. This will remove encryption and delete all files stored in the internal storage.

Return to the previous menu and tap Advanced Wipe, then select the Cache and System partitions and then Swipe to Wipe. Sideload the LineageOS .zip package: 

  On the device, select “Advanced”, “ADB Sideload”, then swipe to begin sideload.
  On the host machine, sideload the package using: adb sideload filename.zip like: https://download.opensuse.org/repositories/openSUSE:/Leap:/15.2/standard/x86_64/heimdall-1.4.2-lp152.3.11.x86_64.rpm

First step to get this working is to go to settings → apps & notifications → advanced → app permissions. Then click spoof package signature. Click the 3 dot menu on the right side. Click show system and allow both microG Services Core and FakeStore (may done from microg-options in the settings app). From there everything can be setup within the microG settings app.

Install an Exposure-App - like Corona-Warn-App - too, for activate the exposure service.

SpeechToText / TTS

  • Install Aurora-Store from F-Droid
  • Install (by search) Google tts/Google Sprachausgabe by Aurora, and activate them in Preferences, after download from a Speech, you can block them by a Firewall.

Updates:

  • 20221216: Gerät im bootloop, bootet bis zum Linage-Icon und startet dann wieder neu 😞
    • Abhilfe: neueste Magist.apk holen und 
      ln -s Magisk-v25.2.apk uninstall.zip

      , dann ins recovery starten Advanced/ADB-Sideload aktivieren, mit 

      adb sideload uninstall.zip

      Magisk entfernen. Anschliessend neues Lineage aufspielen: 

      adb sideload lineage-16.0-20220128-UNOFFICIAL-kminilte+\(microG\).zip

  • NetGuard scheint irgendwie nicht zu funktionieren (Stand: 20201127). AfWall+ (FW) und Blockada (Werbeblocker) schon.
